Reserving the Maker Studio

The Maker Studio is utilized by the library for a variety of Maker, STEAM, and other programming and events.  When not in use for library programming, the Maker Studio room itself is available to groups wanting to use the studio space for events.  In order to use the Studio, groups must make a reservation in advance (using the form below) and reservations are booked on a first come, first served basis.    Scouting troops, home schoolers, and high school science teams are just some of the groups that have used the studio to meet, collaborate, build, and create.

The room has eight large (30”x 60”) rolling work tables that each accommodate up to two people.  Note that groups using the studio for crafts or projects will need to bring their own supplies and materials and are responsible for cleaning up after the event.  There is no projector in the Maker Studio, but a mobile projector may be available if requested.

Please also note that the Maker Studio’s 3D Printers, Laser Cutter, and Vinyl Cutter may only be operated by trained staff, so if your event wants to make use of any of these technologies please make a note in your request form to consult with our STEAM Education Specialist to determine if this will be possible.

Please allow ample time to process your request – we recommend submitting your request at least a week prior to your desired event date.
