The Library Board of Trustees is pleased to share the news of our interim director. From several qualified applicants, we have chosen Angelo Moreno to manage operations during this transition period; he has served at ELPL since 2019 and is well known to our patrons and our community.
Angelo's first day in the interim director role took place place on September 9, 2023.
Director Search
We are interviewing candidates for the position of Library Director at ELPL. We take our role as a trusted public institution very seriously. A subcommittee of the the Library Board led a search committee consisting of representatives from East Lansing Schools, the Friends of the Library, the City of East Lansing, Library staff, and the community at large. After a thoughtful selection process, that committee has recommended three finalists for interviews. Special Meetings of the Library Board will take place on Tuesday, January 9 at 5:30pm and Wednesday, January 10 at 4:30pm to conduct the interviews with Library Director candidate finalists. These meetings will take place in the Large Meeting Room of ELPL. For more details, see below:
