Author of the Month: James S. A. Corey

This December, we have a rather unique author of the month. James S. A. Corey has steadily risen to fame for having penned the bestselling, Hugo nominated Expanse series - a series frequently compared to the likes of Game of Thrones and Battlestar Galactica - but in addition to having an extraordinary talent for world building and a knack for character development - both qualities that make Corey stand out from even the upper crust of Science Fiction authors, Corey also happens to be the first among our featured authors to be an author duo.

James S. A. Corey is a pseudonym for authors Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck, who began writing together after Abraham participated in a role-playing game created by Franck - one which fans of the series would find familiar. The game was set in a time when Earth had colonized the solar system, and Abraham was convinced that it would be the perfect setting for a science fiction series. Seven books and nearly three TV seasons later, each author has equal shares in both the writing and plot development of the series.

This month, the author duo is releasing the seventh volume in the Expanse series, Persepolis Rising. The television series will be airing its third season on the Syfy network in just a few short months, but in the mean time, here is what you can find here at ELPL to help you catch up:
