Library Systems Shutdown on February 24, 2021

The East Lansing Public Library will be closed with no curbside pickup service on February 24, 2021 due to a maintenance update to the Integrated Library System computer system.

The East Lansing Public Library will be closed with no curbside pickup service on February 24, 2021 due to a maintenance update to the Integrated Library System computer system. This upgrade will affect the library’s ability to assign curbside pickup to holds for patrons.  During the upgrade the following services will also be unavailable:

  • Access to library accounts via the library's catalog, including renewals, holds, etc.
  • MeLCat requesting
  • New checkouts of eContent - digital titles checked out before the upgrade will be available for reading/listening/watching
  • Online library card applications

While the library is closed, the staff will be cleaning, disinfecting, setting up signs and readying the library to reopen to the public on March 1, 2021.
