There’s a waffle in my pocket – parenting with patience and humor. Graphic Novels are the bomb.

Does your weird uncle collect comic books? Does your dad still read the funny pages? Comics have grown into an amazing new genre, Graphic Novels. The term is not strictly defined, though Merriam-Webster's full dictionary definition is "a fictional story that is presented in comic-strip format and published as a book".

These illustrated novels are engaging and help boost reading confidence. Graphic novels are a win-win. The only downside is that they are very, very popular, so you may want to try using our online resources to read books on your phone/ipad/kindle. Ebooks are available on Hoopla and Cloud Library

Here is a list to help you and your kids delve into the wonderful world of graphic novels. I guarantee your kids will get hooked.
