Miss Eva’s Top Three: October 2017

Welcome to Miss Eva's Top Three! Each month I'll be picking out items from three different areas of the children's section to feature that I've enjoyed -- some new titles, some older ones, but all of them things that have caught my eye! Check out this month's picks below.

Picture Book: Everything by Emma Dodd

Emma Dodd's series of picture books featuring lovely, textured illustrations of parent and child animal pairs is pretty much a guarantee to get me crying, but this one about two koalas might set the record for getting the tears flowing quickest.

Community Languages Collection: Harry Potter à l'école des sorciers by J.K. Rowling

I've been brushing up with my college French with Mango, and I've been having a lot of fun finding children's books in English that I can almost stumble through them with my not-so-great French skills. The French language version of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is perfect for that!

MovieBig Hero 6

I watched Big Hero Six for the first time this summer during our family movie afternoon, and was so touched by its sweetness and sense of emotion (plus the superheroics were super cool!)
