Miss Eva’s Top Three: December 2017

Welcome to Miss Eva's Top Three! Each month I'll be picking out items from three different areas of the children's section to feature that I've enjoyed -- some new titles, some older ones, but all of them things that have caught my eye! Check out this month's picks below.

Picture Book: Little Penguins by Cynthia Ryland

A sweet wintery tale of a penguin family enjoying the little things in life -- playing in the snow, milk and cookies, and cuddling in bed on a cold day.

Audio bookThe Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket

One of my go-to books on CD, with Tim Curry lending his excellent narration to a favorite series!

Chapter book: Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones

The movie adaptation of this book is weird and wonderful and gorgeous, but nothing can beat the original book, in my opinion. Sophie is one of my favorite (and most formative) fierce protagonists in children's lit!
