American Heart Month 2018

This year, the CDC Division of Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention and Million Hearts®, invite younger people to gain more awareness and participate in heart healthy ventures. According to the CDC, "adults ages 35 to 64" are a high risk demographic. They have made some simple suggestions to get more involved in care for your heart.

  1. Be more active!
  2. Make healthy eating decisions.
  3. If you are a smoker, quit!
  4. Keep track of your blood pressure and cholesterol.
  5. If you have doctor prescribed medications, take them as directed.

Here are some resources here at ELPL to get you started on your healthy heart journey! Take that first step, take care of yourself!
