Books, Bites, and Bids

Dear Friends,

The East Lansing Public Library (ELPL) celebrates National Library Week, which occurs every April, by hosting our annual fundraiser, Books, Bites and Bids. It is a wonderful event with food, a silent auction, beer, wine and music, and it has become one of the community’s favorite nights.

The 9th Annual Books, Bites and Bids was scheduled for April 17, 2020. All of the components were in place - donations accumulated, baskets imagined, and anticipation was building.  Then the world as we knew it changed.  The ELPL closed on March 16 to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.  With the uncertainty of everything right now, we are postponing our Books, Bites and Bids celebration until we can gather together again.

If you have already purchased tickets, they will be honored on the new date.  We are currently looking at different options for the silent auction.

Thank you for your continued support of the East Lansing Public Library.

Please stay home, stay safe, and save lives. We will meet again to celebrate the library and the community.

Sincerely, Kristin Shelley
Director
