Help us Shape the Future of East Lansing Public Library!

The library has begun our Strategic Planning Process! The new Strategic Plan will help guide our library for the next few years. It will tell us what our community thinks is most important, and give us ideas for how best to serve you.

In the coming months, we'll be reaching out for community feedback through a survey (available online or via paper) and community conversations. This is a chance for us to better understand people’s aspirations for their community, the concerns they have, and what they believe might make a difference in strengthening the community. You do not need to be an expert. We are looking for your input as a resident who cares about our community. We’ll take what we learn from the survey and community conversations, and use it as part of our strategic planning process to help make the work of the library in the community more effective.

Check back here for updates on the process and how you can participate!

Community Conversations

We are hosting five community conversations to learn more about people's aspirations for the community. Each conversation is expected to take 90 minutes to two hours. Participants will receive a small gift as a thank you and be entered into a random drawing to win a gift card. Space is limited and registration is required to attend one of these conversations.
