Kids Summer Reading

Build a Better World
Build a Better World

Want to earn prizes this summer for reading and participating in fun, free activities? Here’s how you can participate in the kids summer reading program, for ages 3-12!

1.Starting June 11th, sign up in the library, or by clicking here you can register online right now!

2. Download and print a reading log or pick one up at the library. Use your log to keep track of how much time you spend reading. Every time you read for 15 minutes, mark off a spot! When you get to the end of each level, you can bring your log into the library to be stamped and to get your prize.

3. Keep an eye out for bonus spaces on your log! Each level has one, where you can choose to replace 15 minutes of reading with an activity.

4. You can read at your own pace! Just make sure that you bring your log in to collect any prizes by the end of summer reading in August.

5.  Prizes available include:  book bag and bookmark combo, coupon for a Grand Traverse Pie slice, coupon for a Bruegger's Bagel, coupon for a Tasty Twist cone, East Lansing Family Aquatic Center pass, coupon for Auntie Anne's Pretzel, coupon for drink at Taco Bell, coupon for Curious Bookstore, coupon for Insomnia Cookies, and a free book!
