Kids Summer Reading

Libraries Rock the 2018 Summer Reading Program at the East Lansing Public Library
Libraries Rock!

Want to earn prizes this summer for reading and participating in fun, free activities? Here’s how you can participate in the kids summer reading program, recommended for children ages 3-12!

1.Starting June 18th, sign up at our kickoff partyopens a new window, in the library, or online!

2. Use your reading log (pick one up when you sign up at the library, or download and print oneopens a new window) to keep track of how much time you spend reading.  Every time you read for 15 minutes, mark off a spot!  When you get to the end of each level, you can bring your log into the library to be stamped and to get your prize.

3. Keep an eye out for bonus spaces on your log! Each level has one, where you can choose to replace 15 minutes of reading with an activity.

4. You can read at your own pace! Just make sure that you bring you log in to collect any prizes by the end of summer reading on August 11th.

5.  Prizes including bags and bookmarks and coupons from Grand Traverse Pie, Bruegger's, Tasty Twist, East Lansing Aquatic Center, Little Hawk Putting Course, Curious Books, Insomnia Cookies, Spare Time Bowling, and Aunt Annie's Pretzels!  Thank you to all our donors.
