Choosing and Looking Up Your Hold Pickup Location

Library patrons now can choose where they would like to pick-up their holds. Choices include:

ELPL - For the self pickup hold shelves or Curbside Pickup., opens a new window
Lockers - For the 24/7 lockers, opens a new window located right outside the library's main entrance.

You can choose your pickup location each time you place a hold or change your account preferences to turn on Single-Click Holds.

If you have a hold ready for pickup and you aren't sure where it will be located, you can check this information in two different places:

Your email Hold Notice - For each title, check the "Pickup Location" line.
Your library account - If you log into your account and click the On Hold menu item you can see the pickup location for each item you have on hold.

Here are some important things to remember about holds:

• Depending on what preferences you have changed and when you changed them you might have several holds to pickup for different locations.  Library staff will not automatically change the pickup locations so that all the items will be in the same place.
• Lockers space is scarce so some Locker holds will be moved to Curbside Pickup by library staff.  If your items are moved you will receive a personalized email from library staff informing you of this change and inviting you to make a Curbside Pickup reservation.

Here's how to change those settings your Single-Click Hold settings.

1. Log in to your account.
2. On the menu, click My Settings.
3. On the My Settings page, find the Account Preferences section.
4. Your current default pickup location is shown under Holds and Pickup Locations. Click Change to choose a new one.
5. Choose a new pickup location from the dropdown list.
6. Click Save Changes.

You can also turn Single-Click Holds on or off if you like.  If you think you might choose a different location each and every time you place a hold this might be the best option for you.  Here's how to do this:

1. Log in to your account.
2. On the menu, click My Settings.
3. On the My Settings page, find the Account Preferences section and click Holds and Pickup Location.
4. Use the green toggle switch under Single-Click Holds to turn Single Click Holds on or off.
5. You can also set your Preferred Location from the drop-down menu.
6. When you are done click the Save Changes button.
