100th Anniversary of the Tulsa Race Massacre

On Memorial Day, the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Centennial Commission, opens a new window will be hosting Remember and Rise, the 100 Year Commemoration of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, opens a new window.  The Commission has been busy creating curriculum, planning the building of a history center, and fundraising to keep this important work going.  In person tickets for Remember and Rise are no longer available, but the event will be live streamed.  Check the Tulsa2021 website on Memorial Day to find out how to view this important event.

On May 19, 2021 some of the few remaining survivors of the massacre testified before a House subcommittee.  These elders were children when the massacre occurred.  You can watch their testimony on YouTube, courtesy of PBS News Hour. , opens a new window
