The library will close at 3pm on Friday, September 27 so that nearby streets can be cleared and closed for the MSU Homecoming Parade.

How it works:

Teens in grades 6-12 can sign up online for the Teen Summer Reading Challenge, or in person at the library.

When teens register, they are automatically entered into the grand prize drawing.

Each time teens complete items on the card, they will have a staff member sign the star that corresponds with the completed item and collect a prize.  Possible prizes include coupons for ice cream, bagels and slices of pie. (Multiple stars can be signed at once but coupons are only available while supplies last.  Limit 1 coupon from each business for each participant.)

When a teen has completed 8 items, they should turn in their card to a circulation desk Customer Associate.  Submitting a completed card earns one more entry into the grand prize drawing.

Want to increase your chances of winning a grand prize?

  • Refer a friend!  Tell your friend about the program and have them write your name on the back of their card.  If they complete the card and turn it in, you will get another entry in the grand prize drawing.
  • Complete 16 items by August 10 for an additional entry into the grand prize drawing.

Grand Prizes:

The last day to submit your card is August 10.

Winners will be notified the following week.  Prizes must be collected by August 24.
