Children's Summer Reading

Summer reading starts on Monday, June 5 and it ends on Monday, August 7. August 7 is the last day to add to your progress virtually using READsquared or to return your completed paper log to the library. 

Whether you plan to participate virtually or using a paper log, you must register for Summer Reading on the READsquared website.  Pre-registration opens on READsquared on May 17. You may also pre-register or register and pick up a paper log, at the library, starting May 17.  Parents, guardians, grandparents and caregivers can register for a Family account to handle all your family and group registrations under one account.

This program is minutes-based and designed for children ages 5-12 to encourage life-long reading habits. Track your reading minutes to earn points; track your progress online using ReadSquared, or using a paper log by clicking here. Once you've earned enough points you'll receive a completion certificate you can print and share, as well as a small prize! You’ll also be entered into a raffle for the chance to win one of our grand prizes.

All children who complete the program will be entered in a drawing to win a prize. Winners will be contacted directly so they can pick up their prize at the library. 

READsquared is the virtual platform you will use this summer register for Summer Reading. You can also use it to log your participation in the program.
