When Will My Checked Out Items Be Due?

printed due date receipt from the libraryDuring March, April, May and June when the library was completely closed library staff automatically renewed all checked out items for all patrons.  Once staff were back in the building filling Curbside Pickup orders another mass renewal was completed so that we could communicate to all of our patrons that we were once again in the building and that items could be returned via the library's outside, drive-up book drop., opens a new window

In the last weeks of July and first weeks of August library staff have started to send out Hold Pickup notices to patrons. By the end of August Courtesy notices and Overdue notices will once again be sent out bringing the library a little bit closer to "normal operations".  Because of this library staff will not be doing another mass renewal so the due dates of any items you have checked out, or will check out, will be the actual due date.

Just like before you can renew items online by logging into your library account, opens a new window or by calling 517-351-2420 during our Curbside Pickup hours, opens a new window.  You can also reply to any email notice you receive to request a renewal.  Please keep in mind that the library is lightly staffed so renewal requests via phone or email may take a few days to process.
