New Reading Logs for SRP 2017

Build a Better World
Build a Better World

Big news for our 2017 children's summer reading program! This year our logs will look a little bit different. Instead of receiving a new sheet each week, when you register (either online or in person), you will get one reading log that you will use for the whole summer. This log is where you will keep track of how much you read. Every time you complete 15 minutes of reading, you will mark off a space, and at the end of each level, bring it into the library for your prize! You will also have the ability to complete certain activities in place of reading for 15 minutes of reading once per level, so make sure you keep an eye out for bonus spaces.

You can try to make it a goal to complete one level per week (there are 8 levels and 8 weeks of summer reading), but you can also go at your own pace! As long as you come in to pick up prizes by August 12, 2017, you're free to time SRP so that it works best for you.

What counts as reading? Almost everything! You can count time you spent reading alone, being read to, reading aloud to someone else, reading a new book, reading a book you've already read, and more. Books, magazines, ebooks, audiobooks all count -- as long as you're reading, you'll be earning earning prizes.

And don't forget, if you have any questions, you can always ask a librarian!
