COVID-19 test kits available April 6-11 via Curbside Pickup

The Michigan Department of Health & Human Services has provided Michigan libraries with a limited number of at-home COVID-19 test kits. The East Lansing Public Library will be distributing test kits free of charge via our curbside pickup program.

For the safety of our patrons and staff, we will NOT distribute test kits inside the library. Kits will be available via curbside pickup ONLY, from Wednesday April 6th through Monday, April 11th.

To make a curbside pickup appointment, visit the Curbside Pickup page on our website:

You can also make an appointment by calling our Circulation Desk at 517-351-2420 during normal operating hours.

FAQs:

  • You do not need to have an East Lansing Public Library card to receive a test kit - these COVID test kits are free to everyone. When using the form from the link above, just type "COVID test kit" in the space for the library card number - see the example below.
  • Due to extraordinary demand, we are limiting our curbside pickup appointments to 2 kits per day.
  • Each pack of test kits includes (2) tests and a set of instructions. Packages will be labeled with your last name.
  • Orders for the following day's curbside pickup must be received before the library closes.
