Books and Bagels

Calling all students in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade! You're invited to join us at ELPL for our monthly book club just for you, Books and Bagels.

So what is Books and Bagels all about? After reading the book of the month, we meet with friends to discuss the book, participate in a hands-on activity based on the book, and enjoy bagels courtesy of Panera! Not only that but thanks to a generous donor, the first 15 children to register for the program each month will receive a free copy of the book that is theirs to keep.

Books and Bagels is typically held at the library on the third Saturday of the month, September through April, at 2:00 p.m. (but be sure to check our events page or monthly newsletter in case of changes). After each discussion, you can sign up for the upcoming month's meeting and receive you copy of the next book. If you can't make it to a meeting, no problem -- you can always sign up at the service desk at the library, where you'll receive your copy of the next book (while supplies last).

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the library and we'd be glad to answer them! Find upcoming Books and Bagels event listings here. You can also find a list of Books and Bagels titles here.
