Karrie

Karrie Korroch is a Children's Reference Assistant at ELPL. She grew up in East Lansing and spent many hours at ELPL as a child, happily singing along at Storytime and enthusiastically checking out books with her mom. When she was five years old, she organized her library of books at home from smallest to largest and often provided Storytime for her cat and stuffed animals. At that age, her library card was one of her most prized possessions and it still is! Karrie earned her bachelor's degree in elementary and special education at Michigan State University and spent a number of years teaching while also volunteering at the local public or school library in the various places she has lived. Since returning to Michigan, Karrie has enjoyed sharing Storytime, planning children's programs, helping people find information, and learning new things at ELPL for over 13 years. Outside of the library, her favorite pursuits are hiking, gardening, paddle boarding, dancing, and reading.
