Through stories and activities, children will learn about where spices and plants that we eat are grown, how food travels to get to our plates and interesting plants eaten around the world. Get your hands dirty in the library's children's garden. Families are invited to bring a plant to place in the children's garden. See our web site for our plant wish-list.
The ELPL is seeking donations of plants for our beloved children's garden! If your hostas need dividing or you have an abundance of echinacea, the children's garden will provide your "extra" perennials with a welcome home. We are accepting child-safe, child-friendly perennial plants. Please check out our wish list! If you are interested in donating a plant or plants, please contact Karrie Korroch at kkorroc@cityofeastlansing.com.

Join the Children's Gardening Club for a journey into the fascinating world of seeds! Explore the magic of seeds through stories, songs, and fun hands-on activities! We will learn about the life cycles of some truly spectacular seeds, discover how seeds travel, create some take-home experiments, make seed-related projects, and eat seeds!
Join Mary Jo (Miss JoJo) for an interactive 20 minutes of songs, rhymes, music & movement, book sharing, and my favorite – BUBBLES! Playtime at the end of the session is a great way to connect with old and new friends.
