Community Summer Supplies Drives – All Together Now!

Our Summer Reading Program theme this year is "All Together Now"! In that spirit, ELPL is collecting items to help support local non-profits! Each month will focus on a different organization. In keeping with our 100th birthday year, our goal is to raise at least 100 items for each organization! Here are the types of items we're looking for:

June: Haven House

Haven House families receive an exit package when they move into their new homes; we'll be collecting household cleaning items to be included in that!

  • Toilet Paper
  • Paper Towel
  • 13-Gallon Size Trash Bags
  • All-Purpose Cleaner: 28 oz
  • (HE) Liquid Laundry Detergent: 64-107 load
  • Bleach
  • Toilet Bowl Cleaner: 24 oz
  • Toilet Brushes
  • Dish Detergent: 32 oz
  • Dishwasher Pods
  • Scrub Sponges
  • Glass Cleaner: 23 oz
  • Ajax/Comet
  • Broom & Dustpan
  • String Mops
  • Air Freshener

July: Constellation Cat Cafe

  • Cat litter
  • Friskies Wet Food
  • Purina Fancy Feast Tender Kitten Food, 3-oz, 

August: EVE (End Violent Encounters)

Daily Care

Clothing Items

  • Hanes Packages of Shirts and Shorts (every size)
  • Plain Black or Gray Leggings (every size)
  • Bras (all sizes, sports bras or simple bralette's work too)
  • Socks (Womens and Childrens of all sizes)
  • Underwear (All Women's Sizes)

Cleaning Supplies for Shelter Residents and for Client Homes

  • Broom and Broom Holders
  • Toilet bowl brushes and holders
  • Sponges
  • Dish soap
  • Laundry Baskets
  • Laundry detergent (sensitive skin/dye- & scent-free preferred)
  • Fabric softener sheets
  • Disinfectants and other household cleaners (non-toxic and/or natural preferred)
  • Pad refills for Shark vacmop
  • Liquid refills for Shark vacmop

Self-Care, Stress Management, and Other

  • Throw blankets
  • Journals
  • mini floral nail polish
  • mini vibrant nail polish
  • Fidgets. Examples:
    • Squishy stress balls
    • Monkey noodles
    • Fidget spinners
    • Planners or calendars
  • Gift cards
    o Gas stations
    o Grocery stores
    o Target, Meijer, Amazon,
    o General VISA and MasterCard
  • Pre-paid cellphones
  • Pre-paid phone cards
  • CATA tokens and bus passes
  • Window and door alarms, smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, and other similar security
    items
  • Batteries (AA, AAA, 9-volt)
  • Easy snacks when at court and other meetings (granola bars, fruit snacks, goldfish,
    crackers, snack-sized chip and cookie bags, sparkling water, pop, water bottles)
  • Wrapping paper, more wrapping paper, tissue paper, and bows to help celebrate
    birthdays and other important milestones while receiving services or staying in Shelter

Office Supplies

  •  Ink pens
  • Computer paper (white and other colors)

Health Needs

Baby and child items/toys
